The Picnic Shelter is near two beautiful hiking trails and has outstanding views of the Flatirons. It has a concrete floor and four 16-foot picnic tables with attached benches. Portable gas grills may be brought in, but must be placed on pavement or concrete. Public restrooms are located close by, beneath the Dining Hall.
Beer and wine are permitted; you must obtain an alcohol permit from our Private Events Department at least three weeks in advance of your event for any alcoholic beverages to be allowed. The Picnic Shelter is located near a quiet residential neighborhood; please be cautious to avoid loud music, children shouting, and loud conversation.
During times when the Picnic Shelter is not reserved, it is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. (A schedule will be posted at the Picnic Shelter; please respect others' reservation times.) The Picnic Shelter cannot be used after 4:00 pm on concert evenings or after 9:30 pm on other evenings.
